  1. Make ready 1 kg Beetroot grated
  2. Take 1/2 tin Nestle Condensed Milk
  3. Prepare 1/4 cup Sugar
  4. Prepare 1/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  5. Make ready 1/2 litre Full fat milk
  6. Get 4-5 Saffron strands
  7. Prepare 4-5 tbsp Ghee
  8. Make ready 1/4 cup Pistachios and Almonds slivered
Steps to make Kadai Beetroot Halwa:
  1. In a large Kadai, add grated Beetroot and Milk. Cook on a low heat for about 15 minutes well covered. Take care not to cover it fully, keep a wooden spatula inside it and bring the lid to almost near it. There will be a little gap seen. If covered fully, there is a chance of Milk oozing out. So be careful about that.
  2. After 15-20 minutes, it's almost tender and soft. Now's the turn to add in the rest of the ingredients except the last one. Mix well and cook further for about 5 minutes on a high heat. Keep stirring it until the Sugar melts and Ghee starts leaving the sides.
  3. Keep a watchful eye on it. Stirring is important so that it does not stick to the bottom and also the Halwa gets a proper bit of roasting that gives it an actual amazing flavour. It's done in almost 30-35 minutes. Garnish with slivered Almonds and Pistachios. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
