  5. Make thick puri out of the dough and add the dal paste on one side of the puri and cover with the other side.
  6. Boil some water into a big vessel and put them into a hot water for about 10-15 minutes, switch off the stove and allow them to cool down.
  7. Cut into desired shape.
  8. The next step is to fry the faras. Heat oil in a kadhai/wok and add jeera, heeng, curry leaves, mustard seeds, Let the jeera crackle and then add chopped onions, stir for a bit and then add fara.
  9. Once it is done, garnish with fresh coriander and it is ready to be served.
  10. Serve Dal Fara on it's own with tomato chutney, or tomato ketchup as a side dish with your delicious Indian meal.
