It is me taking a step further on from bhindi raita and turning it into chaat. Feel free to leave out chutneys and serve the crispy fried okra with spiced up yogurt for bhindi raita. Kurkuri bhindi recipe - thinly sliced okra are coated and marinated with besan and spices. Then deep fried into the hot oil till crisp.
Instructions to make Kurkuri bindi chaat:
- Cut lady finger into French cut & all spices on lady finger
- Then add besan& rice flour mix it well & put coat of water on it & fry them
- Assemble the lady finger in a plate & dress it with curd, red garlic, green chutney & onion, tomatoes & coriander & some sev
- Serve immediately
At the end, sprinkling of chaat masala adds another flavor punch. Okra is one of the favorite vegetables at home and I make many different bhindi recipes. Wash the bhindi completely and wipe them dry with paper towel. Sprinkle turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, dry mango powder, chaat masala powder and salt on bhindi one by one. Mix the bhindi well with these masalas.
