The ingredients needed to make Siddu:
- Make ready 1 no butter paper
- Take For the dough:-
- Take 500 gms +2tbspn whole wheat flour
- Take 2 tbsp ghee for brushing
- Make ready 2 tbsp vegitable oil
- Take 1 tbsp dried active yeast
- Make ready 1/2 sugar
- Get to taste Salt as per taste
- Get Water as per requirement
- Take For the filling:-
- Take 1/4 cup poppy seeds
- Take 1 midium size chopped onion
- Get 6/7 cloves chopped garlic
- Take 4/5 green chopped chillies
- Take 1 " chopped ginger
- Get 2 tbsp tbspn chopped walnuts
- Get 2 tbsp tbspn chopped almonds
- Take 2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- Take 1 tsp black pepper powder
- Get 1/2 tsp black salt
- Prepare 1/2 lime juice

Steps to make Siddu:
- First heat ½ cup of water to a lukewarm temperature. In a small bowl pour the water and add sugar, then sprinkle the yeast. Keep the bowl aside for 10 minutes to bloom.
- In a separate bowl take wheat flour then make a well in center. Add salt, bloomed yeast and water as per requirement. Kneed into a soft dough. Finally add vegitable oil into it. Cover the dough with a wet kitchen towel and keep the bowl in a hot place (inside the oven) for minimum 2 hours.
- Next we have to prepare the filling. For that in a mixer jar let's add all the filling ingredients and blend into a dried course paste. Avoid using of water while blending.
- After 2 hours the wheat flour dough will rise up and become double in volume. Now sprinkle 1tbspn wheat flour on the working station and kneed the dough atleast for 15 minutes so that the inside air comes out. Then cut the dough into 12 euqal pieces and cover them with balance 1tbspn wheat flour.
- Now with the help of fingers let's shape each pieces of dough as a bowl and fill them with 1tbspn full filling mixture in the centre. Close the dough and make siddu shaped into small buns. Leave them aside covering them again with a wet kitchen towel for 10 minutes to rest.
- While preheating the oven at 180°c for 10 minutes brush little bit of ghee on siddu and place them on a baking tray with butter paper on it. Bake the siddu for 15-18 minutes by placing the tray in middle position with 2 heaters on mode. After completion of baking again brush some ghee and serve hot siddu with chatni and pickle
