Instructions to make Golhath:
  1. Wash and clean rice and soak for 15 mins.. wash and peel bottle gourd and cut in small cubes.
  2. In a pressure cooker add rice, water, bottle gourd and salt… cook for 3 whistles…
  3. Tadka: heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds and let it splutter… then add this and the poppy seeds paste to the cooked rice and mix.
  4. Tamatar ki chutney: roast whole tomatoes on tawa on slow flame till the tomatoes are charred. Then remove the skin and mash… add chopped onions, chillies and coriander, salt and mustard oil… mix well with hand.
  5. Serve hot golhath along with the tamatar ki chutney.
