- Bake cake for about one hour. Start checking after 45 minutes. Cake is done when inserted toothpick comes out clean and the cake starts pulling away from the sides.
- Cool cake in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours so the flan sets up. I always make mine the night before to be served the next day. After cake is cooled flip the cake over on a serving dish.
