Steps to make Kadhai Crab:
- Dry roast grated coconut, cumin seed,coriander seed,fennel seed, pepper corns, dry red chilli, cinnamon sticks.
- Grind it into smooth paste and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a kadhai and add methi seeds and sliced onions,saute and cook till it turns to golden brown.
- Add curry leaves,green chillies,salt and tomatoes.close and cook till it becomes mushy.
- Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and the grinded paste.
- Mix well and cook for 5-8 minutes
- Add water and allow it to boil.
- Then finally add cleaned crab.Mix altogether and close the kadhai and cook till the crab is cooked completely.
- Once the crab is cooked,garnish with some chopped coriander and serve.
But i kind of stayed away from it.. Now heat oil in a kadai. Add the pureed masala and stir well. Add in ginger garlic paste and cook till oil separates in it. A kadai or karahi is a metal cooking pot similar to a wok, but with a flatter bottom and steeper sides.
