- Heat the olive oil over a medium heat and add the onion, garlic and bay leave. Allow to fry for a couple of minutes.

- Allow the mixture to cool enough to place in a blender. Remove the bay leaf and blend until the mixture is smooth. Add the sauce back to the saucepan. (Step 3 can be missed, depends on the child's preference).
- Add cooked meatballs to the mixture.
