If you liked the Pink Lemonade Vodka Slush I posted a few weeks ago, you are going to love this Brandy Slush Recipe. I don't have as many memories from childhood of this one, and I have never cared for brandy. Stir in orange juice and lemonade concentrates, brandy, whiskey and cooled tea. Combine tea, sugar/water mixture and the frozen juices and brandy.

Instructions to make Brandy Slush:
  1. Combine everything and mix well. I split the mix between two pitchers and pour back and forth a bunch of times because I don't own a container large enough to mix it all at once.
  2. Pour mixture into empty juice bottles. This will make the next step easier and allow you to store whatever you don't use into the fridge for later.
  3. Pour mixture into ice cube trays and freeze overnight.
  4. Once frozen, place cubes into a zip lock freezer bag and mash it into a slush with your bare hands. No, not by squeezing the cubes bare-handed. Seal the bag first and then squeeze.
  5. Use a large spoon or ice cream scoop to put slush into a glass and then pour on your favorite citrus-y soda (Sun Drop, Sierra Mist, 7-Up, or similar). I use a 50/50 slush to soda ratio.

I am going to apologize in advance. The Wisconsin Brandy Slush is the grown up version of a snow cone. Tart fruit juice and tea are frozen with a generous pour of brandy and then scooped into a glass with a couple of glugs of lemon lime soda. Adding the brandy to the juice prior to freezing prevents the mixture from forming a solid block of ice. Add the sugar, juices, and brandy.
