To begin with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can cook ghee dosa using 6 ingredients and 5 steps. Here is how you cook that.
The ingredients needed to make Ghee Dosa:
- Prepare 2 cups raw Rice
- Get 1 cup Black Gram or urad dal
- Take 2 tbsp Bengal Gram
- Get 1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
- Take 1 tsp Salt or to taste
- Prepare 1/2 cup Ghee
Instructions to make Ghee Dosa:
- Soak Rice and Dal separately for 5-6 hours. Add Bengal Gram and Fenugreek Seeds to dal while soaking.
- Grind them separately into a smooth batter of flowing consistency. Add little water accordingly. Leave it to ferment overnight.
- Next day add Salt and give it a light mix and if the batter looks very thick, then add some water.
- Heat a heavy iron griddle or a non stick dosa pan. Pour a ladleful of the batter in the centre and spread it in a clockwise motion. Drizzle ghee on the edges of the dosa and a little on top of it. On a medium high heat, cook it until crisp.
- Make all in the same way and store the leftover batter in the refrigerator for later use. Serve this ghee dosa with coconut tamarind chutney and aaloo masala sabzi.
