Instructions to make My Custard Crepes π:
- Add the 1/2 pint Milk to a pan and heat up.add to a bowl the 1/2 cup milk then add the Sugar and stir.
- Next add the Custard and stir until all Sugar has dissolved then add the custard powder.ignore whats on the instructions on the tub. Because were making it thick to set.
- Now dont let the milk boil and bubble bring to the heat slowly whisk again then pour the custard liquid into a jug. Add the vanilla and mix.
- Now its important for you to bring the milk to the jug of custard you have to whisk it vigorously to avoid having lumps. So have the custard mix by the pan of milk when you see the signs of boiling pour it in the custard mix quickly.
- Then add back in the pan over the heat as it come to the boil whisk it and you feel it getting thick at the bottom take off the heat and with a wooden spoon and stir really quick it soon turns thick but you dont want it lumpy. Add to a jug and put in the fridge for about Half an hour. Meanwhile make your crepes ready.
- If your not quick when the custard comes to the boil it will burn the bottom quickly and as you mix you will have brown bits in it off the pan your pan should look like this easier to clean.
- When its cold out tbe fridge just stir it up and it will be a little smoother. 2 large spoonfulls of custard add to the middle and spread it all over thick but not right to the edges.
- Trn the edge nearest to you and roll away from you. The custard will stick the edge. With a sharp knife cut the ends off and its whirling around.
- Or add 3 heaped tbls in the middle about 2 inch across add your favourite jam down the center of the length of custard. Then roll it right around the custard so its in the center of the pancake. The roll gently tight or firm and add a little cold water on your finger so it sticks to the end of the pancake sealing it. Cut into pinwheels
- I will call them Custard rassberry Pinwheels and Custard Roly Poly. Add them to the fridge until your serving them.
